Copper areas and avoiding autorouter to replace these zones

Hello, Is there any way to avoid autorouter from using a specific area of the PCB ? I defined some specific copper areas (for thermal/heatsink purposes) and when I start autorouter, it just simply removes what I did and put tracks in the middle. How to avoid that scenario ? Thanks

What happens if you tell the autorouter to skip the nets that have been assigned to those copper areas?

Hi simkard! You could try to make a copper area and name it for example "KEEPOUT" Then you define that this copper plane is in the copper area manager as the most top priority copper area: ![copper area manager.jpg](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/tJ7DwbYeeJf4eflulLYBZ2FEOQUrsvCM5O9oNIcW.jpeg) Then you can try if this area avoided by the autorouter. I can't give 100% solution because I haven't tried this method myself, because I never use autorouter. Regards, Markus Virtanen HW / Electronics Designer
