**BUG** Concise problem statement: Copper area gets too close to pad for UFQFPN-20 I have created a bugreport project here: https://easyeda.com/thepigs/bugreport-5799cb0abe304425a5d199b3fd34eeaa Steps to reproduce bug: 1. Place an STM8S003F3U6 with footprint UFQFPN-20 into a schematic with 5V and GND 2. Generate PCB 3. Add +5V copper area to top Results: ![blue circle shows copper area 'tail' too close to pad][1] Expected results: copper area should stay away from pad Browser: Chrome [1]: /editor/20171128/5a1c7dd6c6173.png

There is something strange about this footprint. **SHIFT+F** searching for the UFQFPN-20 footprint in the library looks like this: ![enter image description here][1] However, the footprint imported into a PCB from placing a STM8S003F3U6 in a schematic (as described above) looks like this: ![enter image description here][2] * I do not know what the purple and grey areas are on pads 1, 5, 6, 10, 11, 15, 16 and 20. Now if you open the shared project link from above the grey/purple areas have disappeared. Nothing was changed however. It is odd. Maybe one of the devs can explain it. Could be a footprint issue I guess.

I worked out what the dark purple/grey items are: ![enter image description here][1] [1]: /editor/20171128/5a1ca883eac03.png Still probably a bug though??

Hi That is not a bug, when you clear PAD6 net and re-copper you can find ![enter image description here][1] If you ungroup the footprint, move the pad5 solid area to another area, and re-copper, you will see: ![enter image description here][2] What you see seems a bug that's because the solid area clearance cover the copper of PAD5, as the yellow circle marked. ![enter image description here][3] [1]: /editor/20171128/5a1d011d15a31.png [2]: /editor/20171128/5a1d019fc4268.png [3]: /editor/20171128/5a1d023bcb784.png

Haha yes, obvious when you put it like that :) Thanks. I changed the UFQFPN-20 footprint to use polygonal pads instead of solid regions. And tweaked the clearance. Looks good now : ![enter image description here][1] [1]: /editor/20171128/5a1d3971b8e4c.png
