Copper area on GTL, GBL Gerbers not shown

******BUG****** Concise problem statement: (***Is this a bug or a design feature?***) EasyEDA Gerbers for a PCB with a copper area (flood) on the top and/or bottom layer, do not show the flood on the GTL or GBL Gerber files. (This may also be true for inner layers but I have not tried this yet.) This makes it hard to check that the flood is in the right position. The user cannot visually check that flood-to-pad clearances are correct. For example, suppose the user designs a PCB with mixed small signal and 230V AC voltages. EE has only one Net Class. Clearances can be set for small signal or for 230V but not both. Suppose the users sets small signal clearances. The user adds the flood. The PCB passes DRC with the flood drawn in. However, the flood has to have a bigger clearance around the 230V pads and tracks than the small signal pads. So user has to draw the clearance round the 230V pads and tracks by hand. When the user generates, downloads and opens the Gerbers in gerbv, the flood is not shown so the user cannot check that the clearances are correct. Steps to reproduce bug: 1. Open any of the PCB files listed below; 2. Click on Gerbers... icon on top toolbar; 3. unzip and open GTL or GBL Gerber files in gerbv Results: Gerbers show tracks and pads but do not show copper area floods. Expected results: Gerbers should show all copper that is to be on physical PCB. Hi Andy, All of your Urls are unwork, why remove the '_' ? Why you can't find the the coppe area in Gerber file? After you create a coppe area "Dashed box", click the "Dashed box", You will find a button "Rebuild CopperArea" , just click it. Then you coppe area will show, save the file ans export the gerber file. try this <https://easyeda.com/editor#id=1FztK2WQ8>

Hi, >Chrome isn't working properly. It so strange. I have test on every browse and OS which I have. All of them have a "Rebuild the copper area" button. Why you chrome desn't have that. Try to press "Shift+M" , then "Shift+B" hot key to look. Try to find a "About" men, and click it, you will find EE's built date, it is should be 18/10/2013 , if you can't find , try to Ctrl+F5 to reload. But EE has such feature a few couple months ago. I don't know why , keep asking. It is important.

I will check Chrome & Chromium on Kubuntu 12.04 LTS tonight but using: Chrome Version 30.0.1599.101 m 32bit XP Pro SP3 Trying using final version of Astable PCBas ordered last night: **Shift+B** and **Shift+M** have no effect. **Rebuild Copper Area** button is not visible: **Super Menu > About** sends Chrome to: https://easyeda.com/cms_files_about-us.htm and *not* to the **About ** box that appears when using Firefox In FF, it is OK. It says : **"An Easier EDA experience" Version 1.0 Build date 18/10/2013.**

Hmmmmm. I wondered if there might be a problem with Chrome using a chached version of EasyEDA ... Chrome Version 30.0.1599.101 m 32 bit XP Pro SP3 So I tried this: **Chrome > Tools > Clear Browsing History** (or **Ctrl+Shift+Del**) ========================================== Obliterate the following items from: the last 4 weeks. Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data Empty the cache Clear data from hosted apps ========================================== Clicked: **Clear browsing data** Then, enter: `https://easyeda.com/editor` into url bar. Whirly icon saying: **Waiting** Waited several minutes. Nothing more happens. Ooooooh dear. Broken.

paster " chrome://appcache-internals/" to your Chrome Url bar, and remove all EasyEDA info. and reload EE. EE use this http://blog.christian-heindel.de/2011/10/25/debugging-html5-offline-web-applications/ to cache .

Good news! Chrome **and** Chromium, in Kubuntu 12.04 LTS now show floods and the **Rebuild Copper Area** button. The **About ** box also now appears. Basically PCB in Chrome and Chromium now looks the same as in FF. Edges of floods now appear the same as in FF and have same bottom layer outline is above top layer as described in: `https://easyeda.com/bbs_view_417.htm` :)

Using **Chrome Version 30.0.1599.101 m** on **32bit WinXP Pro SP3** I've tried: "Paste **chrome://appcache-internals/** to your Chrome Url bar, and remove all EasyEDA info. and reload EE." Also tried Ctrl+F5 twice. And **Clear browsing data** again. But I still get: Whirly icon saying: Waiting Wait several minutes. Nothing more happens. All works OK in FF

Hi Dillon, I just thought I had better let you know that the problem of not being able to run EE on Chrome on my XP box at work has not gone away. I can (and have to now) run EE in Firefox with no trouble but it just will not open in Chrome. It's the same problem: Whirly icon saying: Waiting Waited several minutes. Nothing more happens. I have tried your suggestions but it made no difference. When I get the chance I will reinstall Chrome but that may be a while as I use it a great deal at work. It all runs fine on Chrome, Chromium and Firefox on Linux. :)
