Correct way to lay tracks when components are off grid

Hello, I have a few components which footprints are in mil, some components are in mm. I set the PCB grid to 10 mil with alt grid to 8 mil. I don't like too fine alt snap because it makes things slow and not nice. My question is how should I lay tracks from pads that are off grid. This is what I've tried. 1) Start from one pad, route the track to some where near the other pad, terminate the track by right-clicking. I can't continue to the end pad because it won't snap into the center point of the pad. 2) Continue from the other pad, and meet the track at the terminating point. It works fine, but the problem happens when I want to move the segment which contains the "join". The join point doesn't move when I want to move the segment a little to avoid vias ... etc. Am I doing the right thing? Is there anyway to make the track snap to the center of the pad? I browsed through some tutorial but can't find it. I found this https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/A_few_little_things-IKSM4Ygar Some pointers to the right tutorial would be appreciated. I wonder if that's the only way? Thank you guys! Best regards, Jeff

Hi, You can unsnap it. The hotkey is `G`, you can toggle. Hope this works. ![enter image description here][1] [1]: /editor/20160506/572bf349008a9.png
