Creating Breakouts

Hi, I would like to create a small breakout board. To do so, I would like to create a larger board with multiple of the smaller boards (is this called panelized?). So, my question is: what is the preferred way to create a kind of perforation, that allows to break out the smaller boards from the large PCB? To avoid instability issues, but also to have clean and smooth edges after breaking... Thanks, Gerd

Yes, It is called Panelized, but you don't need to pay for any panelized cost, because there are the same PCB. You can do like this, you just need to copy and paster the board outline, make them close, the board outline should be overlap, then we will v-cut for you. ![enter image description here][1] [1]: /editor/20160621/5768e08dd577b.png

Thanks for your fast reply! But I don't fully understand it. To have the same board multiple times, it is just necessary to repeat the board outline? Not the parts and wires on it? Did I get this right? How much do I have to overlap the outline? Is it 100mil, 10mil, 1 mil or any max./min. numbers here? What happens, when I do not have a rectangular board outline - I cannot overlap it, as shown in your example? And: what is v-cut? Another related question: When I want to have two or more different breakouts on a larger PCB (real panelizing), what is the preferred way to separate/perforate them - as asked in my initial question? Thank you a lot! Gerd

Yes, just need to repeat the board outline, even you don't need to repeat, just need to told us to help you to repead. overlap should be zero space, or +2mm space If not the rectangular , you need to make the space more than 2mm or ask us to help you to merge. Google V-cut two or more different on the same PCB, every different will be charge $10, you just need to copy and paste to one PCB.
