I had the same problem on Mac using Safari: Crtl-R had no effect. A look into the Hotkeys-Setting menu shows the Run-Dokument function assigned to Cmd-R by default. But this hotkey is used by Safari already to reload the webpage which has priority. Thus I changed the assignment of the Run-Dokument function to Ctrl-R and it works as described.
