When I choose a diode for the schematic I can't find a diode where the package has a thru-hole spacing of 0.1 inch. All I can find is diodes with 0.3 inch spacing.
It is very unlikely that you will find a leaded diode in a package that has a pin pitch of 0.1 inch.
You can however mount most leaded diodes vertically:

There are several suitable PCB footprints that you can assign to the Package attribute of any diode schematic symbol:
