You are not missing anything by not having the ToC because the dialogue box has always searched for all components anyway. The ToC has been removed as part of the update to the new website because it was redundant. :)

I disagree that it's redundant. A browseable interface is required to discover parts you don't know the names of, and categorized by vendor as the documentation indicates would be especially helpful since the vendors have photographs, etc. that aid in parts selection (this also helps you select parts from a single source for ordering convenience. It's probably a hassle to maintain, but it would be a very helpful feature :)
