Dual Sided Connection Pad + Through Hole

Hello, I am trying to design a Dual Sided Connection Pad + Through Hole: [https://easyeda.com/thetemplar/test_pad](https://easyeda.com/thetemplar/test_pad) Problem is, It wont let me connect a wire to the through hole. How can I make this to work? The "part" I created for the pad is this: [https://easyeda.com/component/0a9a15cd67084073a683ccc746d09eab](https://easyeda.com/component/0a9a15cd67084073a683ccc746d09eab) It contains two copper areas (one for each side) and a pad/through hole. ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/KzBdABbqN7jZ7Fz3L2pBBCI1OXlWnIl8YGIriM20.png)![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/NjaCJ7sLIUgFGwFRiHmY1SmvqwcqfKKJGdGQdC1L.png)![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/rMpanFrRnJW373ZyanCdtBg6QUlHddIsaP9ahM8O.png)

You need to set them net as the same, otherwise, you need to set routing conflict as Ignore ![图片.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/qkZasnQG6SkgRztAQ3wj4WTg6HMHlb7MEvKisMBE.png)

hi, isn't this configurable in the "part" itself? e.g. when you want to place several of those like a hundred or so. regards

@g3gg0.de, If you need lots of copies of this sort of structure then the best way to do is to create a  PCB Footprint using the PCB Lib Editor. For more, see (2.3) in: [https://easyeda\.com/andyfierman/Welcome\_to\_EasyEDA\-31e1288f882e49e582699b8eb7fe9b1f](https://easyeda.com/andyfierman/Welcome_to_EasyEDA-31e1288f882e49e582699b8eb7fe9b1f)

@adyfierman thanks for your reply. thats exactly what i did\, but i can \*not\* set the same net/pin for the via\. now i have two pads (top/bottom) with the pin number 1 assigned and an "alien" via. when the part was placed, i can set the net for the via to e.g. GND, +5V etc etc for all parts. but when updating the PCB due to a change in the schematic, it sets the via's net to nothing / empty again. so the question is, how to set a net/pin for a via in the PCB lib editor. thanks

Can you post the url of your Footprint? The problem may be that you have used vias and/or solid regions rather than pads. The difference being that pads can be assigned pads numbers whereas vias and solid regions cannot. * Anything in a PCB Footprint that does not have a pad number will throw a DRC error.

@andyfierman and as you correctly said, i used a via. okay then i will try using a pad (from the terms i indeed wanted a via, not a THT pad)

@andyfierman thanks for the hint. there seems no chance to use vias. using a THT hole instead of a via works.
