How do I create eliptical IC pads for a new IC pinout in the library ? I can see someone else managed to create square pads but I can't even see how he did that. Also how do you have different pad shapes on top and underside of the board ?
In the PCB or PCB Lib Editor, Select the **Pad** tool.
Select Shape = Oval:

You cannot at present set the pads to be a different shape on different layers.

Ah that's a bit fundamental isn't it ? I've always used ellipses on inner layers for DIPs and often on top as well, but need circles for good solder wave performance on the bottom layer.
