Hi Experts,
I know it has been asked before and I also read this: [https://docs.easyeda.com/en/FAQ/Editor/index.html#How-to-add-solder-mask](https://docs.easyeda.com/en/FAQ/Editor/index.html#How-to-add-solder-mask), but I am still confused.
I want to design a PCB badge in EasyEDA. My plan is to have most of the PCB covered in copper area, and expose certain parts of it defined by polygons that I import from DXF. The above FAQ says that I can draw a shape in the TopSolderMaskLayer and select Expose Copper (from the properties). But in the SolderMaskLayer this button is disabled. Is it possible that the documentation is out of date?
I also tried to put my shape on the top layer (defined by a polygon from DXF) where I could select Expose Copper (from the properties). And this looks nice. But there is one concern: when I go to 3D view, I can change between Surface Finish between Gold and Silver. So far I used this to see where there is copper. But the exposed area does not change color like the rest of my pads. Which makes me question if I had done this right. Is this only a bug in the 3D view?
Thanks,
Csongor
