FPC 35 Pin
1604 8
JensHorstmann 7 years ago
Hi, I need an FPC connector with 35 pins. There are existing ones with 34 and 36, but I need 35. I can't work out how to create it... Can somebody create it for me or push me in the right direction?

Hi Jens, Welcome to EasyEDA. You have not given enough information. * Are you looking for a Schematic Symbol or a PCB Footprint (Package)? * What pin pitch? * Orientation? * Manufacturer or supplier part number, datasheet? Some examples here: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/c/connectors/pcb-connectors/fpc-connectors/?applied-dimensions=4294836451

Hi Andyfierman, thanks for the quick reply. - I need both, schematic and PCB footprint - pin pitch is 0.5mm - Angled version - meaning connection parallel to the boad Basically this one: [http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/fpc-connectors/7315817/][1] Or this one: [http://www.mouser.de/ProductDetail/TE-Connectivity-AMP/3-1734592-5/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMs7i6cT6ogu48LqJCttYIIu4mcLCRtYH0E%3d][2] Doesn't really matter which one as long as I can source it somewhere as a private person (I am not a company). Does it absolutely have to be a 35 way? Could it be 36 way and just tie the surplus way to ground?

Ok, I figured out how to create a schematic of the part. But can't work out the footprint just by mouse and polygons... I guess I'll go with the 36pin and just leave one pin unconnected.

@Jens, Can you wait a little while please? I have discovered a couple of mistakes in the LCSC pages for the FPC connectors which mean it is not clear if you order the 36 pin part if you would actually receive a 35 pin part. I have raised a Bug Report about this and hopefully they will reply soon. :) Thanks.

@Jens, @andy, The FPC connectors are 36 pin which are same as the product title description, but with a worng PDF file. We are going to modify it to the correct specifications for 36 pin. Sorry for the troubles caused!
