Facilitation in Spice Simulation

I have seen many requests, posted in several inquiries, all based on the same topic: use of devices not supported by spice models and not featuring in EasyEDA schematics. What is missing, by my opinion, is a simple list of devices which can effectively work in EasyADA, possibly supported by a reference list of commercial device names. Otherwise it is frustrating to build an easier or less easy structure and -at the end - discover that it is useless. Dont'you think? I would enjoy to still work with such a revolutionary aid for electronic design so I push forward with you to welcome my solicit if possible. Thanks for reading

A list of devices or rather models which have been tested in EasyEDA are given in: https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How_to_find_simulatable_parts_in_EasyEDA-1YgasK2kC Not all devices in the list given in that post have dedicated symbols but the names of the appropriate symbols in `Simulation Components` can be changed to those in the list of models given in the post. The EasyEDA Simulation eBook describes how to add 3rd party models to symbols but this can be tricky unless the model is available in SPICE3 format. If there is a model that you need please post back and I will try to find or create one.

Even if you ad Spice3 models, the simulation works a couple of times, then it drops the "Circuit: good* no system model for bcxxx , you can create a model by yourself". What about expanding the list of suported sim models with these: .MODEL 2N5401C pnp +IS=25e-15 BF=220 VAF=196 +IKF=0.2 ISE=2e-15 NE=1.4 NF=1 +RB=60 RC=2 RE=0.1 +CJE=35e-12 MJE=0.40 VJE=0.75 I use these in spice and they work. but the Easy, is not easy on models?

The models you listed above include information that is not part of the Spice3 (Ngspice) syntax. For example: `Vceo=200 Icrating=15 mfg=CA041611 Iave=200m Vpk=75` are not valid parameters in SPICE3 syntax. These look more like proprietary parameters such as those permitted in LTspice. Also, `VDMOS` is a proprietary MOSFET model available only in LTspice. Such models will therefore not run in EasyEDA. If there are devices that you would like to see included in the EasyEDA library then please post them as a list of desired devices. We will then try to source appropriate models and test them in EasyEDA. In the meanwhile, please read: https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How_to_find_simulatable_parts_in_EasyEDA-1YgasK2kC Thanks.

@andyfierman in reply to your kind proposal I'd like to get the model (or subckt) of Voltage Regulator type L7812 with package TO 220. Afterwards a question: how can I use such model in EasyEDA circuit? Shall I expect to find your model in some list for instance More Libraries--->System Component--> Spice Regulator either in list: More Libraries--->EasyEDA Components or somewhere else? Finally what are useful for, all the components included in the list of "EasyEDA Libs" and those included in all other lists available in the System if they are not active for simulation and -what is worst- are not recognizable and distinguished the active from the non-active ones ? Excuse me for such many doubts. Many many thanks for your availability Giorgio

You'll find LM7812EE in: More Libraries--->System Component--> Spice Regulator

@andyfierman paramount step forward: it works! Maybe I shall need some more tutorial support as I understand that the search for spice active devices is arduous. Thanks again

The EasyEDA Simulation eBook here: https://docs.google.com/document/u/1/d/1OWZVVFRAe_2NW3WratpkA_SGuHa5AcRow5ZRfvcoVTU/pub should help you through most things with the examples. Actually getting some models to work can be difficult but we are here to help with that. :)
