I want to document the part prefixes like R11 and C11 on the document layer. But the part outline itself needs to stay on the silkscreen layer. I would like the option to just change this on a selected part, not always put it there. This way I can print out the document layer for the assembler to know which part prefix goes where, but the outline would be on the board so they can place it. I don't want the customer to see all those part names.
