Filleting of traces

Is it possible to create fillets on the inside and outside of traces? I would like to use a milling machine to mill the design, and it would help to set the fillet radius of the traces to the radius of the milling bit so that I can know where the bit can reach and where it cannot.

Can you post an image to illustrate your question?

![CNC Machining Design Tip: Optimizing Internal Corner Radii](https://d2njopo061ehj4.cloudfront.net/images/blog/20160411-optimizinginternalcornerradii/20160411-optimizinginternalcornerradii-img01.png?mtime=20161209180704) Hopefully this image does justice. If you look at the top left corner, even with the milling bit taking a sharp turn, the trace will have a fillet. The bigger the bit, the bigger the fillet. Would like to see these fillets in the design if possible to check the viability of using that size of bit. Idea is to reduce the number of bits so that I can make (for example) drills and traces with same bit. The trinity would be Holes, Traces and Outline cut with a single bit.

Hello ; Regarding your first post, it all depends on your machine's micro-stepping and repeatability. Still not clear your request but it seems that you are willing to produce your own design, you need to export the PCB design as PNG with a x1 scale size and a "white on black" color, the machine will perform the milling on the black areas to leave the white traces related to your design. Maybe you already know all of what I mentioned, so please to explain more.

@JLCPCBsupport Thanks for your response. For example, if I am using a 1mm milling bit to mill my pcb, the inside corner will be minimum 0.5mm radius fillet. If by chance I am using a 2mm milling bit (unrealistic, but just an example), then the fillet will be 1mm. I will not be able to make a tighter corner than that. Is there a way to see those fillets in the pcb design while working in easyEda?

@vikhattangady, "Is it possible to create fillets on the inside and outside of traces?" What you are asking is not called "filletting" it is "radiusing". So you are asking if it is possible to create traces that have radiused bends. Please read the Tutorial, (2) in: [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a) The answer is yes: ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/8KfmzxsGohG2jt2y1jc7Sy3CJxqD03UQY4YOGkOh.png) The radius of the centre line of the arc is equal to the difference between the centres of the start and end points of the arc in either the X axis or the Y axis (because the arc is a quarter circle so the difference is the same in the X or Y axes). The radius of the inner arc = (the centre raius - half the trace width). The radius of the outer arc = (the centre raius + half the trace width).

@vikhattangady Got it already, so as Andy mentioned about the traces you better select the arc feature and replace all the sharp angles. about the CNC stuff you better pickup the smallest milling bit you have to maintain the trace width.
