Finding and importing PCB Relay footprint

I just started using the PCB layout program and have run into a snag. If you want to create let's say a relay footprint is how does one enter and create the footprint in the PCB library? I did a search for TongLing JQZ-3FF-S-Z footprint and nothing came up. It appears under users submissions there is no database for searching or entering the part number or mfg? I know the PCB footprint dimensions and would like to create the footprint just not sure how it is done.

Are you sure you don't mean this relay? [https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/relay-types-JQC-3FF-S-Z_60682592473.html?spm=a2700.7724857.normalList.23.259c125bNNtiXq](https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/relay-types-JQC-3FF-S-Z_60682592473.html?spm=a2700.7724857.normalList.23.259c125bNNtiXq) If this is it then search for: JQC-3FF-S-Z ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/CqbQtXPhzDd2lSYqERdZ74HB8iMyNyPSeHhFEHBj.png) * You MUST check that the schematic symbol and the PCB footprint are correct against that datasheet. Be especially careful because it looks like the PCB footprint is for this module: [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2469054](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2469054) and not for the relay itself. * To see how to build schematic symbols and PCB footprints, see the Tutorial and then try building some experimental parts just to get used to how it works. When I typed in JQZ-3FF-S-2 which is stamped right on the relay I got nothing?

Yeah, and none of the schematic symbols have the PCB footprint associated with them guess I will have to learn how to do this and submit it myself.

I have just built this: ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/39JN7ieJKH1DRlCfVt53lfhCO9upAntJnoHsf44v.png) but you must check it carefully because the datasheets that I could find are rubbish. They do not specify the outline with respect to the pins so the silkscreen package outline is slightly oversized with a guess at the position. Also, it is not clear if the PCB dimensions and pin numbering are with reference to looking down on the top or up from the bottom of the package. **The symbol and footprint that I have drawn assumes that the PCB dimensions and pin numbering are with reference to looking down on the top of the package.**

Thank you didn't know you did that kind of thing and was unexpected again thank you.

I can find nothing on the web for a **JQZ-3FF-S-2**. Can you post a link to the datasheet for this device? And a photo of what you actually have?

@goddur, Please check your information before posting for help. Your original post asked about the PCB **relay** footprint for a TongLing JQ**Z**-3FF-S-Z. I asked you to make sure you really meant JQ**Z**-3FF-S-Z and not JQ**C**-3FF-S-Z. I even pointed out the difference between the standalone relay and a module using that same relay: [https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/relay-types-JQC-3FF-S-Z_60682592473.html?spm=a2700.7724857.normalList.23.259c125bNNtiXq](https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/relay-types-JQC-3FF-S-Z_60682592473.html?spm=a2700.7724857.normalList.23.259c125bNNtiXq) [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2469054](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2469054) What you are asking about is a **module** with the TongLing JQ**C**-3FF-S-Z relay mounted on it. In other words a 5V version of something like this: [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2469054](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2469054) So the schematic symbol and the PCB footprint that you want is probably that which I pointed out to you in my original reply to you: ![image.png](https://image.easyeda.com/pullimage/CqbQtXPhzDd2lSYqERdZ74HB8iMyNyPSeHhFEHBj.png) * However, without a datasheet for this part showing the electrical connections, the physical dimensions and pin diameters and positions with respect to the outline, it is not possible to verify the PCB footprints in the library against the schematic symbol and the actual part, so you will have to verify the footprint yourself against the physical module that you have bought.
