Hi. I'm trying to build my first PCB, and I have a component that requires a package. The component is the U3V50ALV voltage regulator from pololu. ([https://www.pololu.com/product/2570/](https://www.pololu.com/product/2570/resources)).
I found a user lib with both a schematic and pcblib; however, I need the ENABLE pin and the smaller pads (not the larger pads for the terminal blocks. I was reading through the tutorials, and I think I understand the basic concepts. I have the datasheet here [https://www.pololu.com/file/0J1450/u3v50x-step-up-voltage-regulator-dimensions.pdf](https://www.pololu.com/file/0J1450/u3v50x-step-up-voltage-regulator-dimensions.pdf).
I'm a little lost on getting started with how to properly measure out the holes and distances. Here are my questions and thoughts. If I could get a little guidance on reading/interpreting the datasheet that would be great!!!
The smaller holes are 1.02mm in diameter (plated). I'm not sure what the hole dimension is compared to the plate though.
I'm not entirely sure how to calculate the distance from the border of the component to the hole. I think it's 2.54mm.
Same with the ENABLE pin.
Any other guidance on getting started would be incredible as well. I think I draw the outline (silk layer) first, then lay out the pads, then measure? Thanks so much!
