the Design Manager can be used to check for, find and fix Net errors in a Schematic.
This is very easy in the Net View because errors are highlighted.

the Design Manager can also be used to check for, find and fix missing PCB Footprint errors in a Schematic.
However a missing PCB Footprint assignment is much harder to find in the Components View because a missing Footprint is not highlighted in any clear way. It is only visible because the footprint name is missing after the part prefix.
* It would be much easier to find and therefore fix parts with missing footprint assignments if any part with an empty PCB Footprint field is highlighted in some way in the Components View list.
This is obviously what happens when the user presses Create PCB (or Update PCB) so why not do it earlier when the Design Manager is run before converting to or updating a PCB?
Then, missing footprints can be found and fixed as the design progresses rather than the user having a big, scary red list when they try to create or update a PCB.
