From my discussion with Uzfm in that thread, the Feature Request is for:
* The trace that you are routing to be made brighter or to change colour *while you are routing it*.
I think what he ment, and I agree with Zoolu, when placing a new trace manually on the PCB. For example, if working on top layer showing in red, so the background for the layer is red, but the trace also displays red. We can't see where the trace is until we rebuild the cooper area.
I think the trace should display white while it's being drawn originally, just like it is when editing a existing line.
If that was the way it was before, then just bring it back. Not seeing the trace when placing it manually is a real pain in the butt!
This would be a very useful feature. I am suffering without it too. It is not clear where to lead the track, when a large heap of elements and other tracks. And it is also impossible to select another possible route, to another element with the same net.
Until that time, I worked in a very old OrCad 9.1 (released in 98), and this function was there.
There is also a lack of the ability to continue drawing a track if you have not finished it yet and left the drawing mode. That is, ratlines must connect not only the elements' pins, but also connect the nearest ends of unfinished tracks.
These are simple things that greatly increase the convenience. It would be great if you added them. Thank you.
