Hole diameter and circle diameter do not match

Hello, I'm trying to make an accurate drawing that matches the diameter of a knob. The hole is measured with "hole size" in mm. The circle is measured in diameter (also in mm). But the numbers don't match. When I make the circle 7.5mm I do not get the same size of the hole. How can I make sure my sizes are correct? Circle uses a radius, the hole uses a diameter as its variable.
