Please study the Design Flow in the Tutorial. **_Update the schematic first, not the PCB._** If you want to update a lot of component prefixes, use the **Annotate** tool:  Then do **Update PCB...** in the Schematic Editor or: **Import Changes...** in the PCB Editor.
