How do I add a L_1210 inductor to my schematic?

Hi all, I am quite new to EasyEDA and am attempting to design my own PCB. I **wish to place a L_1210 package component** in my schematic\. However\, the "Commonly Library" only consists of options from L\_0603\, L\_0402 and L\_0805\. **Is there any reason for this? Or can I add L_1210 somehow to my library?** I understand I can import an Eagle file but I am not sure where I must find the specific Eagle file for L_1210. Please advice as to how to go about doing this. Looking forward to your response. Thank you

"\.\.\.the "Commonly Library" only consists of options from L\_0603\, L\_0402 and L\_0805\." These are generic parts with an arbitrary value and (probably) no supplier or manufacturer information. You can click on the Libraries button and search for a particular value and specification of an inductor with a 1210 footprint in there and then place the symbol in your schematic. Then do Update PCB to pull the Footprint into your PCB. Or you can double click on a suitable symbol with a 1210 footprint in the library and edit it if required then save it where it will appear in your Workspace. Recommend you read about Symbol and Footprint in the main Tutorial and for a better background, (2.2) and (2.3) in (2) in: Ee[https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a)

Hi @andyfierman, I have gone read and understood the recommended material. Thank you for your advice. I also understand I can modify the existing footprints to my need and save and use later. That was very helpful. Thanks once again. I have another question - I have been using KiCad (v7.0) as well to learn PCB design. I understand I can import KiCad files directly into EasyEDA. However, I think this does not work for higher versions of KiCad (v5.0 and above). So I must first create my design on KiCad (v5.0) so that it is compatible with EasyEDA "Import" feature and then import and use the same? Please confirm if my understanding is correct. If I must create a new topic to clarify this, I can do that as well. Looking forward to your reple.

@bhindhiya, Sorry but I do not know if the issue described here: [https://docs.easyeda.com/en/Import/Import-KiCAD/index.html](https://docs.easyeda.com/en/Import/Import-KiCAD/index.html)<br> <br> "" has been fixed yet. If importing your Kicad V7 files fails then: * you will either have to recreate them  or, if it is possible, save them in Kicad as V5 files and then import them;  * please post this issue as new Bug Report.
