Not sure I understand the context but do you mean easier than generating the Gerbers and then deleting the top silk file from the downloaded zip and then rezipping the remaining files?
Still in the Gerbers. That was the first thing I tried. I don't like unzipping and zipping things as there's always the possibility of something getting slightly screwed up without being noticed.
