How to add female pin-headers on top of existing component?

Hello, My component has male pin headers and I have integrated this component in my board. I want to add female pin headers for easy swapping of this component. If I just place the female pin headers on top of my component the auto route stops to work. How can I add female pin headers to my design without messing up the auto route? How can I make the female headers follow my component if I move the component around? Thnaks!

It is not clear what you wish to achieve. Is it: 1. One footprint on the PCB onto which you can fit either one of a male or a female header? 2. Two footprints which are effectively a single footprint with a male and a female part, so that it can be moved as a single object, into which you can fit either a male hearer into the male part, a female header into the female part or populate both parts with their appropriate headers at the same time? In any case the maxim of "If it's on or forms an integral part of the PCB then it should be represented in the schematic" applies. To understand what this means and how to resolve situations such as yours and others involving alternative parts and their fitment to a PCB and representing off-board components then please read (2.2) - including Appendix A on the use of the **Convert to PCB** and **Add into BOM** attributes and the demonstration projects - in (2) in: [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a)

@bobojo, If your problem is the same as the OP then so is the solution. Please read the rest of this topic.
