How to create rev B: schematic and PCB later

What is the best way to create a rev B of existing schematic & PCB? I would like to keep the rev A, as the PCB is functional and working. When I tried creating new schematic in the design manager, same folder,  I got error messages which looks like the rev A schematic and rev B are read and analyzed together. Does it mean I have to open a new folder? One folder is easier for m me as it is same projects. or is it possible to create sub folders with in a project?

Hi! You can also just "save as" your existing rev A to your current project folder and rename it as rev B. ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/t5SnxjZamapiHsJ3u4OrND6rKKrMFIyn1BzmQTVf.png) Regards, Markus Virtanen HW / Electronics Designer

But beware that copying and pasting  only works with PCBs. Copying and pasting schematics will cause duplicate prefix and much other chaos.

Hi Andy! Yes, I know that. That is why it is important to have only one schematic sheet per project.

Thank you guys. About schematics - sometimes one page is not enough, so two schematics per project is a must. So I will use the version control. I hope it works well. I backed up the project before that, of course.

@markus_jidoka, I know you know that my friend but the OP may not.... yet. :)

@YigalB, You can have as many schematic sheets in a project as you like but they will all be mapped onto one PCB. If you copy a sheet and paste it back into the same project that it was copied from then you will have duplicated prefixes, duplicate netnames and when you come to try to check it with the Schematic Design Manager and when you Convert to or Update your PCB, all hell will break loose. So unless you intend to make, for example, the second channel of a stereo amplifier and edit all the prefixes and netnames in the copy then copies of schematics should be saved into a separate project. BTW, if you do want to do something like duplicate channels for a stereo amp or a 32 channel mixing desk then you need to be using Schematic (and PCB) Modules but that is a discussion for a different topic. :)

@andyfierman I totally agree. I learned it the hard way, now I am aligned. Many sheets for one pcb project. I am not sure how to handle the bigger picture, since for each project (pcb), I have code (I use VScode), and also 3D prints to encapsulate it. The solution I chose was to include all files under VScode project file, so it is all go with one click to github as one project. I am not sure how to handle it with the cloud usage of EasyEDA. So far I am downloading the files and move them to the folder.

@YigalB, You may find it a bit easier to organise using the Desktop Client set to Projects Offline Mode?
