How to find model with Spice Simulation

Apologies newbie question, I did search for an answer but I can't find one. * Want to simulate a circuit with a timer, something similar to 74HC161 * Search in EELib - I can't find any counters * Open library: Engine EasyEDA, Types: Spice Symbol; Search for Counter * Find a counter produced by k9sjwalter (thanks!) which has a little 's' in the IC picture and place the counter on my circuit and connect it * I start simulation but get an Error: "There are some parts haven't spice model,  please use EElib and "Spice Symol" at Libraries of "Simulation" mode or you can assign the spice model for them" I guess I understand what's wrong (this part hasn't got a spice model) but: 1. Do I follow the correct process to find components? 2. How do I identify components in the search function which will simulate (there are about 30 counters, I would like to avoid having to wire them up one by one) Thanks in advance!

Hi, Yes, sorry but searching for spice symbols is still not as easy as it should be. First, please read my string of bug reports: [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/Spice-model-search-results-are-still-incomplete-1-e37722e3413e430e919287e698958751](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/Spice-model-search-results-are-still-incomplete-1-e37722e3413e430e919287e698958751) [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/Spice-model-search-results-are-still-incomplete-2-cb430c46aa064ce98a9f3c616b730e63](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/Spice-model-search-results-are-still-incomplete-2-cb430c46aa064ce98a9f3c616b730e63) [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/Spice-model-search-results-are-still-incomplete-3-a14bffeaa93d4aea92956bcd2078f8c1](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/Spice-model-search-results-are-still-incomplete-3-a14bffeaa93d4aea92956bcd2078f8c1) and note how the tabs in the Search Libraries tool have changed since EasyEDA V6.2 then please read (3) in (2) in: [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a) I will try to update this document to the latest GUI changes. I am also trying to finish a big library that has just the sorts of logic devices you are asking about but this is still a couple of weeks away from being releasable.

Thank you for your prompt reply and I will read all your documents. But you confirm that the process I follow is correct?

"But you confirm that the process I follow is correct?" No. That is not what I have said. But it is why I said you must read (3) in (2) in: [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a)

@andyfierman Hi Andy, Did you ever finish and release the library you mentioned. Steve drsteve@umn.edu

Most of the library is available under EasyEDA - Spice Symbols - Digital 74HC. There should be some 4000 series parts too but for some reason they aren't showing up. You don't need to explicitly place a power supply for these devices unless you want to run them at a voltage other than +5V.

After 10 months: I'm still confused about the original question: how do I discover from the Parts List that a part has a Spice Simulation model? E.g. the one I was playing with today is an TL072 OpAmp - there are many but the only way I can figure out which work in simulations are to try them all in the circuit. What is the better way?
