You can create, name and save a Footprint containing your desired text, logo etc. Then create, name and save a symbol to represent your text in the schematic,  assign that footprint to it and then do Update PCB... which will then pull the footprint into the PCB. Note that the symbol does not need to contain the text that you want to appear on the PCB because there is no connection between the text in the symbol and that in the Footprint.
