How to know which way a screw terminal is facing? track to pad errors after moving an item

Hi when placing a screw terminal on the PCB what direction does the half circles represent? Also when I rotate the terminal I then get a track to pad error, is their a way to correct this with out deleting the track and then redrawing it? many thanks

@jasemilly, You have to give enough information about your query for people to be able to help you. For example: * Which connector? * Have you cross-checked the PCB footprint in EasyEDA with the connector datasheet? * Screenshot of  your PCB in the area around the connector? * Share your project publicly?

Sorry for the lack of information > Have you cross-checked the PCB footprint in EasyEDA with the connector datasheet I am not sure what this means here is a link [https://easyeda.com/jasemilly/Arduino-Switches-for-MUX](https://easyeda.com/jasemilly/Arduino-Switches-for-MUX) the part is WJ2EDGVC-5.08-12P here is an image and the item in question is at the bottom Thanks ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/AhmDNrPYfohXIiRoacg0tM1IIQf9HEi70OO1Uw9W.png)

Here's the datasheet for your connector: [https://datasheet.lcsc.com/szlcsc/Ningbo-Kangnex-Elec-WJ2EDGVC-5-08-12P_C36054.pdf](https://datasheet.lcsc.com/szlcsc/Ningbo-Kangnex-Elec-WJ2EDGVC-5-08-12P_C36054.pdf) What you have put on the board is the male PCB header. Unfortunately, the PCB footprint and the datasheet show different indentations in the package outline from the plastic moulding. The datasheet does not indicate a pin 1 position so it is not possible to be sure how the drawing in the datasheet relates to the footprint in EasyEDA. Therefore it is not possible to infer from either the datasheet or the PCB package, how the connector is intended to be orientated with respect to the PCB and components around it. There is also no indication of, or link to a datasheet for, the mating half of the connector so it is not possible to infer from either the datasheet or the PCB package, how the mating half of the connector is orientated with respect to the male header on the PCB. However, looking at the most likely mating half: [https://datasheet.lcsc.com/szlcsc/Ningbo-Kangnex-Elec-WJ2EDGKB-5-08-12P_C36055.pdf](https://datasheet.lcsc.com/szlcsc/Ningbo-Kangnex-Elec-WJ2EDGKB-5-08-12P_C36055.pdf) it is possible to resolve these questions. I will try to do this this evening and will let you know when this has been completed.

WJ2EDGVC-5.08-12P has now been updated for clarity. Please note that other connectors in this series have not yet been updated.

Thanks that's not quite what I was after, more of screw terminal block.  Sorry unsure correct technical term

@jasemilly, Sorry but that is not what you asked for help about. You asked for clariifcation of a specific connector: `...here is a link `[`https://easyeda.com/jasemilly/Arduino-Switches-for-MUX`](https://easyeda.com/jasemilly/Arduino-Switches-for-MUX) `the part is WJ2EDGVC-5.08-12P...` If you want a PCB mounted header with screw terminals then please find one in EasyEDA/LCSC and specify that in your schematic. Something like 2 of these interlocked side by side: [https://datasheet.lcsc.com/szlcsc/Ningbo-Kangnex-Elec-WJ126V-5-0-6P_C8379.pdf](https://datasheet.lcsc.com/szlcsc/Ningbo-Kangnex-Elec-WJ126V-5-0-6P_C8379.pdf)
