How to manage traces and rerouting mess

1 When I move a trace that is unterminated (not connected to anything) by dragging it in the middle of the end segment a new segment 'sprouts' at the end of the trace.  I do not need that extra segment  - how can I avoid? 2\. Can I relocate multiple segments\, like a bus\, at the same time so they keep their distance from eachother\. 3 When routing, a trace sometimes move back to align with a pad.  That's fine but it also causes a distortion (because the elbow stays put extra little trace is added), a bump, at the elbow that needs to be corrected afterwards.  Is there anyway to avoid it? 4 Is there a way to relocate a component while it's still connected to the traces?  When I move a component, traces do follow the footprints but with total disregard to collisions. I have not tried other PCB software yet so maybe I should be looking at different tools?
