How to template footprint packages to make a large display

Hello, I'm trying to build a led board and was wondering how I can save my self time and also make it a cleaner design. On each of my LEDs I need a couple traces going in/out of them and a couple vias to drop to the second layer. On the previous one I did I dropped all the leds into place then manually did all the traces. The thing is I'm doing the exact same trace and via placement over and over but its also not always in the exact same spot each time. I tried doing a pcb module but the nets didnt update correctly and it wanted to connect all the signals between the leds to one massive net. Not sure if I missed doing something or if there is a wildcard I needed to add to tell it not to be common across all them? I'm trying to make a 32 x 32 led display so its very cookie cutter. Thanks! Nolan
