I accomplished what I want to do in Kicad but I'm horribly confused about how to do this in EasyEDA. PCB design is new to me so please explain in simple terms.
I am trying to create a PCB for a mechanical keyboard. I need(?) a specific footprint with two plated through holes in it for the keyswitch. Additionally, this footprint needs a small square hole in it with four surface pads. This square hole will hold a tiny LED. The four solder pads will provide current/data and hold the LED in the square hole.
I created a component with six pins, two for the switch hole plus four for the square pads. Additionally, I created a footprint with the proper dimensions for the PCB.
You can see my schematic and footprint by searching for Matias in the EasyEDA parts. They'll show up as something like Matias Keyswitch with SK6812 LED.
*** How do I get these two files to know they are related when I convert my schematic to PCB? ***
Thank you.
