Hello all,
I'm trying to put together a rather large but simple circuit board. The board is essentially just some SMT LEDs but those LEDs must line up with a map on the front side of it.
I've taken my map's source image, converted it to a black and white image and would like to use it to assist in laying out my PCB.
When I try to import it into the document layer I get a size of the image that's different from the image in GIMP.
The source image is 450mm x250mm however during the import it shows up as 311x126mm.
I'm not able to change the size because the ratio is locked giving me the wrong dimensions.
I used the measurement tool to see if this was a bug but that's also not reporting the correct size.
Am I doing something wrong? This is my first board - Is there an easier way to accomplish what I'm trying to do?
Edit - Just confirmed the measurement in GIMP and inkscape again and tried to import both a DXF and PNG. The DXF is closer on the dimensions of the picture but the distance between where the LEDs should be is way off. The PNG image dimensions are way off but are slightly closer on the board (30mm but it should be 41mm on one point).
