JLCPCB not showing any preview or dimensions after uploading Gerber file

Hi, I've tried ordering this MF68 top_plate by clicking the button [Order at JLCPCB] [https://easyeda.com/thefrencharmy/MF68_Plate-e93390b759f0486ab9cdc5adc79c0dc7](https://easyeda.com/thefrencharmy/MF68_Plate-e93390b759f0486ab9cdc5adc79c0dc7) After uploading, I'm greeted with this. ![Capture.jpg](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/3d6RfvLIyR2dzILQNkZeuJf2NGhV9LYOKe6aYdcm.jpeg) The gerber file preview doesn't show up and the dimensions aren't being detected. I would appreciate some help in this matter and I would like to know if there's an issue with the design? Sorry, I'm still new to this!

Have tried messaging the project owner?

@andyfierman I've just messaged the project owner. I was worried that he would not reply because that was his only project from 9 months ago. Sorry for posting this under Feature Request, it was supposed to be in Bug Reports. I wanted to design a plate too so I used his project as reference to design mine and I also ended up with this same issue when uploading to JLCPCB order. I would like some input on why is this happening, I can share my design for you to analyze if you're willing to help, it's largely the same as his top_plate. Thank you.

@wailinnyu, Unless I've misunderstood what this project is for (some sort of keypad?), it looks to me like the original project was incorrectly constructed. It seems to be an attempt to create a set of non-plated-through holes but looking at the Gerber files in gerbv I'm not sure that the way it has been contructed will actually work because the iregularly shaped holes have incomplete boundaries. In other words they look to have bridges across what should be empty space. Get gerbv: [http://gerbv.geda-project.org/](http://gerbv.geda-project.org/) (There is a port of gerbv for Windows on the sourceforge page.) If your project is made from clones of the original then I think you will have to reconstruct some of the irregular holes. If they are not just clones of the original, I can have a look at your files. See **Sharing** in the Tutorial.

@andyfierman Here is the link to my project. [https://easyeda\.com/wailinnyu/gnap\_cherry\_plate](https://easyeda.com/wailinnyu/gnap_cherry_plate) When I click Generate Gerber File in the EasyEDA Editor, the preview seems fine, so I proceed and placed my order. Same issue as the MF68 top_plate. Please advice, thanks!

**First thing:** Raise a **Bug Report** explaining that: You have a PCB with no copper or silkscreen on it and which has only unplated holes in it and which when you generate the Gerbers in EasyEDA, the estimated board dimensions are shown but when you upload this PCB to JLCPCB, no dimensions are shown and so you have to enter them manually in the JLCPCB PCB order page. Put a link to this post in that Bug Report. **Next:** Open the PCB in the EasyEDA PCB Editor then click on **Generate Fabrication File (Gerber)**: ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/CVrA2rY0Iq6IP6cMRzbthL2PgLOQt3usQSXdbqDy.png) Check that the dimensions are right against your EasyEDA PCB file measurements. If the PCB dimensions are correct then make a note of them: ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/kVApB6lMTuBv9eHbBxwSU3yPdZkAjUbsdmLBt0Qq.png) Then click on **Order at JLCPCB**: ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/jfuy3xj3eIKobUmw84rf0fIyUGlSrQmR4WqIuRJQ.png) Enter the dimensions by hand: ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/lZEZg9p8hufDPAkqIWem76ERCaA0BONPwMxdtord.png) That should work OK but add a note in the **Remark** box to explain exactly what this PCB is (i.e. it is a bare FR4 plate with holes in it and that it has no copper on it) and that you have had to enter the dimensions by hand and paste in a link to the **Bug Report** that you have just created as advised. Don't forget to choose a PCB colour.

@andyfierman Nice! I'll place my order in a few days along with my other PCBs together. Thank you so much on helping me out with this issue, I was pretty worried with my design haha. This definitely seems like a waste just doing non-plated through holes on a PCB but it's definitely cheaper than laser cutting steel plates.

Check everything carefully before submission: your design and the feasibility with JLCPCB. :)
