Hi all I'm trying to simulate a simple lowpass circuit - but all I get is a constant (5v) voltage at the capacitor instead of the typical charging-curve.... Vdc = 5v C=20u R=1k here is the link to "project" [https://oshwlab.com/project/publish/903041c6c32749ee942ffdfe8f8e6467](https://oshwlab.com/project/publish/903041c6c32749ee942ffdfe8f8e6467) What am I doing wrong ? thx in advance

The behaviour you have described is due to a common misunderstanding by newcomers about the differences between simulations and real life. DC voltage (and current) sources in spice are assumed to have asserted their voltage (or current ) for all time prior to the start of the simulation (i.e. time t

A simple "fix" for your particular simulation is to use a voltage source configured as a PULSE source...

@andyfierman thx a lot....though I did read (some) the simulation tutorial, I looks like I missed the important parts ;) thx again!
