Hi everyone,
I'm new to PCB design so am starting with a simple Timer circuit and have drawn the schematic circuit (attached). I have then converted this to a PCB which has gone fine but, for technical reasons, I need the Emitter from the transistor Q1 (to power a motor) to connect straight to the Ground connection rather than via the more sensitive components associated with the 555 Timer chip. I have done this in the schematic with the relevant connection showing in red. However, when the PCB is generated it chooses a different (more economical?, also attached) path of Q1 - C4 which is not what I need; which is Q1-H2 bypassing various components more sensitive to motor generated transients.
I'm sure this is an easy thing to do as part of refining a board but I can't see how to do it and the shortcuts and Forum so far have thrown up nothing similar.
Thanks
Jules
