The edge rails are only for if you order panelised PCBs. The edge rails are not part of the PCB that you are designing:

You do however, have to note the minimum clearances between traces and the board edges (which depend on whether the PCBs are routed or V-cut):

Until now, as long as I understood from all EasyEDA documentation and forum topics,
position holes and fiducial marks are needed only for panelised boards which will be
automatically assembled.

Am I correct ?

What about edge rails ?
Are they a requirement for any panelised PCBs production,
independently of their hereafter manual or automatic assembling?
