Moving Components appears to change links between components...?

Totally new to PCB design. I created a schematic in EasyEDA and have converted to a PCB. The default layout places all components togerther for me to arrange. However when I move the components, the logic (the connections) between the components appear to change, almost like they are defaulting to the next nearest component. I can't see how this is correct as changing links to components that don't follow the schematic will cause the circuit to fail... Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to assign links so that the design software knows which components it should be connected to? Or am I being stupid and the connections do actually work because they are somehow connected somewhere else in the circuit meaning it doesn't matter which order they are connected in? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks Tom

Hi Tom, Welcome to EasyEDA. Remember that every connection must connect to at least two component pins (otherwise it's just an unconnected pin!). I suspect you are just seeing the ratlines snap to the nearest pin on the same net but the quickest way to help you with this is if you make your project public. At the moment your project is private so only you can see it: https://easyeda.com/Doc/Tutorial/Share.htm#Sharing This will help you get up to speed: https://easyeda.com/andyfierman/Welcome_to_EasyEDA-31e1288f882e49e582699b8eb7fe9b1f

Hi, I have shared the project and it can be found here: [https://easyeda.com/corkyo4/MXR_Dyna_Comp-94c1c0b02f0146afa990a444a07ca826][1] Note I haven't yet modified the PCB beyond the direct conversion from the schematic, purely because of the issue I describe in my OP. Your conversion to PCB looks OK. Note that if you want to add PCB mounting holes, please see: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CU7RuPyFlSZPzWBN-YZ0x87xeAB4xpLdLaIsUwhLj_M/edit#heading=h.6k7tyj3eynso BTW, you might like these projects: https://easyeda.com/example/Tesseract_Guitar_Practice_Amp_simulation_files-H0ca8IFDB https://easyeda.com/andyfierman/Precision_sawtooth_to_triangle_wave_converter-eb9567312a3b431f9ce8062f170fe97f https://easyeda.com/example/Origami_a_collection_of_guitar_effects_-JFa4mEWe8
