My problem is that my dc converters (AP1509-50SG-13) are supposed to
take 12volt input and output 5volts 2amp utilizing pin 1 for voltage
input and pin 2 for Output
After attaching the headers and power input, I get 12volt to the
input pin 1 but less than 1 volt from pin 2 and all circuits connected to pin2

If you ask others to give up their time to help you then you need to give them as much information as possible to help them to help you.

@andyfierman

Thanks for the reply...  My initial posting was to gauge the activity on the forum.

I have two similar projects that I have designed and received from JLC

My problem is that my dc converters (AP1509-50SG-13) are supposed to take 12volt input and output 5volts 2amp utilizing pin 1 for voltage input and pin 2 for Output

After attaching the headers and power input, I get 12volt to the input pin 1 but >1 volt to the entire PCB coming from PIN2 and confirmed at the other points downline from the converter.

I believe that it is something simple, I just cannot find the problem.

"I get 12volt to the input pin 1 but >1 volt to the entire PCB coming from PIN2"

Do you mean less than 1V?

"I have two similar projects that I have designed and received from JLC"

So what are they? Are they the ones that have the problem? Of so, where are the links to them?

Sorry but it's no use expecting people to go rummaging through your home page to try to find then or pointing us to a datasheet without sight of your schematic and PCB.

That's like asking someone to fix your car and then saying they have to diagnose the problem just by looking at the sales brochure.

Any suggestions would be guesses that waste everyone's time.

Thanks for the reply
Yes I mean less than 1 volt

I only have two projects on my homepage and they are the ones to which I am referring.

The schematic refers to the dc converter that I have placed on both PCBs
Here the direct links to both projects...the schematics and PCBs from EasyEDA are listed on each page

should read
The datasheet refers to the dc converter that I have placed on both PCBs

@james_5180,

They don't work because you have not connected them up as required and shown in the manufacturer's datasheet.

This is how they should be connected:

and this is how you have connected them in your project:

I'm guessing that you just assumed that the AP1509 was a linear regulator like the 7805 and did not read the datasheet?

@andyfierman You are correct in your assumption. Thank you for your help.
