I cloned a project and have unexpected results in the netlist.
1\. Start with a project that has a proper link between schematic and PCB
2\. Clone the project\. \(The first time\, I created a new project\, then copied and pasted the content of an existing project into the new one\, as I had not been aware of the "clone" function at the time\.\)
3\. Run the "Import Changes" function on the PCB\.
4\. On the original project\, this returns "no changes\. The PCB already matches the schematic\!" On the new project\, there are several Instances of removed and added components\.
Remove U12_7: C13.2 C14.2 R7.1 U12.7 etc.
Add R6_1: C11.2 C12.2 R6.1 U11.7 etc.
The affected connections have the rat's nest lines as if there is no connection between the affected components, even though there is the original track there.
The affected tracks have to be removed and rerouted. The entire track has to be rerouted, or the router will not let you draw a segment between two components.
Clicking "Also update track's net" seems to fix this, but why does this occur? Are the nets renamed, and if so why? Only certain nets are affected, and I see no correlation between this and the actual design.
