You need to use EasyEDA editor to create some projects before publishing
Netlist will not show any IC components

I've been trying to create very simple schematics -- I've tried many different opamps etc. but the opamps never appear in my netlist. Of course, the simulation does not work properly either. It also does not load the model for the component. I made the schematic public "hpf" in my project files [https://easyeda.com/editor#id=28c93db574d04490b889887a5aaf0457][1] I've gone into the examples and tried them as well. I managed to get the colpitts oscillator to show up in the netlist and simulate properly. I then loaded that same component into a schematic for a simple filter and it again gave me the same problem. I thought EasyEDA would be a step up for me, but I'm finding this very frustrating. I've watched the videos, read the manual..... Can't figure it out. I've spent way too many hours on this simple problem and I'm about to give up and just go back to LTSpice and a separate layout package. I don't want to though! Can anyone help? Thanks! Three things I learned. The first is that when there is a spice model connected, then there will be a dot in the package symbol in the search window. The second is that you need to go into the spice parts to get parts with models. The last one is that the symbol needs to be changed from spice symbol "U" to spice symbol "X" if you are trying to connect your own model.

`...there will be a dot in the package symbol in the search window.` It's a little `s` not a dot. `...the symbol needs to be changed from spice symbol "U" to spice symbol "X" if you are trying to connect your own model.` Not quite. It's the **Spice prefix** that needs to be changed and what it needs to be changed to depends on whether then model is a `.model` defined model or a `.subckt` defined model. 1. The tags for each **spice symbol** shows which of the two type of model they are associated with. 2. The **spice model list** shows which of the two types of model they are. You can modify almost any EasyEDA symbol to attach a spice model to it but you can fall foul of the spice pin order mapping (which as the eBook describes is not the same as the PCB package pin mapping and even then not all manufacturer's spice models of a given type use the same spice pin ordering!). So it's best to use spice symbols rather than try to modify non-simulatable symbols.

What does it mean "you need to go into the spice parts to get parts with models"? Where do I find the "spice parts"?
