No Padname related Netnames

I had to add a new component on the schematic and after wiring it in I updated the PCB and saw that the names of other pads hat changed to the name of the new compontens leg which gave me lots of work to rename all connections to the new pad name. So it would be great if net names were either changed together with pad names or were not pad related at all. Thanks.

@le.sing2, Welcome to EasyEDA. This sort of thing can happen if you have edited the PCB pads or nets in the PCB Editor after passing the schematic into PCB layout. For more information about this, please see **Why do Parts in a PCB disappear when the PCB is updated from the schematic?** in: https://easyeda.com/andyfierman/Essential_checks_before_clicking_the_Convert_Project_to_PCB_Update_PCB_or_Import_Changes_buttons_-7d2c6484b0c74aea930b1acf6459cd39 * If you make your project public or share it privately with Support, we can have a look and see why this might be happening: https://easyeda.com/Doc/Tutorial/Share.htm#Sharing

Ok thank you for your fast reply. I've seen that I have missed indeed to give it good names, but I haven't found it how to do it before as I am new to this software. Is there by any chance a feature to to a batch rename of a net? Or could you add that somehow? That would be awesome!

There is no way to do this in the Schematic Editor. You can do it using Search and Replace in the EasyEDA Source file (always make a backup copy of the original file before editing it!) but beware that any changes made in the PCB file will be overwritten by an **Update PCB...** or **Import Changes...** operation unless the Schematic file has the same changes as those made to the PCB file. You *can* do this in the PCB but beware that any changes made in the PCB will be overwritten by an **Update PCB...** or **Import Changes...** operation unless the Schematic is changed to match the changes made in the PCB. Select all the tracks that you wish to rename then type the new net name in the `Track Properties` box at the upper right of the PCB Editor tab.
