Overlapping Track/Image Masking issue

Hi, complete noob to circuit board creation and I'm making a board based purely on aesthetics and doesn't need to function as an actual board, it's all about the design in this case. Coming up with an issue when overlapping tracks over an image I've also placed, how can I stop the tracks affecting the solder mask on the image so it blends into one solid copper mask? Issue illustrated below. ![halp.jpg](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/L5UNPYpD3xd4lKrLDYUsdKM6onwGKzHvJPZWwHeV.jpeg) Thanks in advance -Steve

By default, tracks are covered by Solder mask. You can select tracks and remove solder mask from them by clicking on "Expose Copper" button. If you create pads in any shape then they will be exposed copper and you cannot cover them with solder mask but if you replace them with Solid Region or other shapes like rectangles, arcs and circles then they will be covered in Solder Mask.

Thanks for the tips but basically this is what I was aiming to have, so the overlapping tracks when they cross over my image on the board (also exposed) doesn't create this negative crossover section on the copper mask so its all one big exposed copper section that connects. just as a reference, the blue on the board is the solder mask and the yellow is the exposed copper. ![halp2.jpg](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/9YcjZOSqiyHFtbDmhQkdGyjdBzjUK29zFAadH9n7.jpeg) -Steve

@brammyzero, In that case you need to use the "Expose Copper" button for the tracks: ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/YZLmJ2d5xehjxRjyloDRATapNMDWXPA8v95WUV1H.png)

Thanks again but the copper is exposed on both the image and the tracks that overlap it using the expose copper method you mentioned. Its creating almost like a double negative effect on the masking so that its unmasked in the crossover areas circled in the first image. I was wondering if there was a way to stop it double masking like this so the tracks that overlap into the image plane dont unmask? -Steve

This may be a bug in the 3D viewer. Try generating and downloading the Gerbers and then check them using gerbv: [https://docs.easyeda.com/en/Export/Export-Gerber-Files/index.html](https://docs.easyeda.com/en/Export/Export-Gerber-Files/index.html)

If the Gerbers look OK, please change the category of this topic to Bug Report.
