@example here is a gif of how I made the PCB. As you can see I assigned a surface mount component to the resistors but on the PCB their through holes. How do I get the surface mount on my PCB?

@julian1barbera, The BOM is created from the information in the schematic not the other way around. So changing info in the BOM does not affect the schematic which in turn does not affect the PCB that you generate from it. If you look at your own video you will see that all you have done is change the supplier part that is called up by the BOM. You have not changed the **Footprint** listed in the BOM nor have you changed the PCB Footprint assigned to the **Package** attributes of the schematic symbols in the schematic itself. Therefore, when you convert your schematic to PCB all the PCB Footprints are unchanged from the defaults that are assigned to the symbols when you selected and first placed them in the schematic.
