Hi Everyone,
I am creating my own schematic symbol and pcb footprint libraries. The problem I am having is with the resistor symbol name.
I want to display like below.
R1
1.0k
I know that I can save the title as 1.0k and get the result that I want.
The problem is how do I create a resistor symbol that will have the same value(resistor symbol name) but a different package size.

I will give that a try. Is there any way to save the resistor using the resistor part number number and have
the information displayed as below.
R1 (Reference Designator)
1.0k (Value)

Please post the url of one of your resistor symbols (find and select it in the library then open it for editing and copy the url from the top of the browser window).

Either prefix the Name attribute with the value or add a text field to the symbol:

Note that the text field will rotate with the symbol but it can be selected, rotated and moved manually.
