The Cut Silkscreen = **Yes** option in the Footprint Editor only works with silkscreen lines drawn using the Track(W) tool.
It does not work with other drawing tools and it can only be applied at the time of drawing.
It only cuts the silkscreen when Cut Silkscreen is set to **Yes** and then hand drawing the silkscreen using the Track(W) tool.
With the Cut Silkscreen set to **No **and then hand drawing the silkscreen, it is obviously not cut but after drawing it, if the Cut Silkscreen is changed to **Yes**, then the uncut silkscreen line that has already been drawn is not cut.
Drawing the silkscreen using any other drawing tool (rectangle, circle, arc etc.) results in an uncut silkscreen irrespective of the Cut Silkscreen **Yes/No** setting.
