Providing connecting points for components not on the PCB

My project uses SPST switches that are not located on the PCB, but rather on the front panel of the housing. They will be wired to the PCB to specific points. How do I represent this in the schematic? I basically need two Vias that will be connected to other parts on the PCB. I can add the Vias on the PCB and run the connections manually, but is there a way to represent this in the schematic, so that the wiring is already incorporated in the PCB? I tried Pins, but they do not transfer to the PCB.

This is explained in detail, with a number of examples, in (2.2) in (2) in: [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a)

I've asked a couple of (what I consider) reasonable questions to be answered by this stupid link which is of no use whatsoever. And probably puts people off asking any more questions. Why not simply say RTFM? Just as useful.

For information and clarification: By carefully reading and then following the instructions in: [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a)

the reader will be pointed to the **Welcome to EasyEDA** document, (2), which will then point them to a document called **How to Design PCBs**, (2.2). In this document which is a section titled: **PCB design notes ** in which there is a sub-section called: **How to create a pad to directly solder a wire to ** The document also concludes with: **Appendix A: How to deal with Off-PCB parts** which, amongst several examples, includes one to demonstrate how to place holes in a PCB to solder wires from off board components to, which I believe is what the OP was enquiring about.

Another RTFM reply. Useless.

What is the point of having a forum if most questions are answered with this RTFM post?

You can use testpoints that have an actual PCB footprint as a vias in this situation. Let me know if you need help, I may have time to go through this with you... Regards, Markus Virtanen HW / Electronics Designer
