Hello All, I am looking for a footprint for the HX711 Loadcell Amplifier Module/weighing sensor.I am not very good at drawing a footprint. Would anyone know where I could find one?Datasheet:[https://cdn.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Sensors/ForceFlex/hx711_english.pdf](https://cdn.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Sensors/ForceFlex/hx711_english.pdf) I already reffer footprint on snapeda of hx711([https://www.snapeda.com/parts/SEN-13879/SparkFun%20Electronics/view-part/?ref=search&t=hx711](https://www.snapeda.com/parts/SEN-13879/SparkFun%20Electronics/view-part/?ref=search&t=hx711)).But some difference of pins are in between what i need module and what i got.So do i edit that footprint or what to do please let me know. I already done with schematic in kicad,i want to export it into easyeda but its showing unexpected error while converting. I am new to this software so, looking forward to get a proper solution for it. ![hx711-2.jpg](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/mJaYQLPtjg3enJwzlf3D6yhQHqLzbfuHxdRP990T.jpeg)

@[Charushila Khandait](https://easyeda.com/charushilakhandait) Hi Just searched on EasyEDA modules and I got this link for the appropriate circuit diagram of the HX711/weighing sensor : [https://easyeda.com/adamfk/hx711-module](https://easyeda.com/adamfk/hx711-module) > Note : I checked the packages of all the components there and they are all available and exactly the same as your requested circuit Open it in the EasyEDA editor and convert it to PCB than the rest is easy to make as long as you follow this guide : [https://docs.easyeda.com/en/Schematic/Convert-to-PCB/index.html](https://docs.easyeda.com/en/Schematic/Convert-to-PCB/index.html) ![Schematic_HX711 module_2020-06-20_20-43-51.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/5y9mdwd6wMmA0t6aiLMVGtricIZ7yU4tWlC5fn1u.png)

@CharushilaKhandait, If you mean the IC then search for 24 bit ADC – HX711 weighing sensor and look through the listed parts: ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/fvXa3o2i5LKyH8jkaBLALBUXc7KRXNE5PJYCth7t.png) If you mean the IC on a PCB as a module then search for XFW and look through the listed parts: ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/z4QWyXQFS2nDR0DCEvUmK1u1gmppWsU7gdSWtr0p.png) or search for 24 bit ADC – HX711 weighing sensor and look though the listed modules: ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/MR4uzspBUJePIaTanZuLIz3T8jJEFkQUsW1kvVaz.png) In either case you must find a datasheet with accurate dimensions for the IC or the PCB module to check the library parts against. Or you can make your own footprint in EasyEDA. * Please see (2.2) and (2.3) in (2) in: [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a)

@JLCPCBsupport, That may be true but we always warn people they should check all user contributed symbols, footprints and modules before sending for manufacture.

Checking the footprints of the component on the module is fine if the user wants to design their own PCB. But if the user is looking for the footprint of the PCB Module with specific dimensions then you need to have a datasheet showing the dimensions of the hole positions and diameters on the module. Without that they can not be sure if the dimensions of the PCB Module Footprint are the same as the one they are looking for.

@andyfierman hey I edit my query properly actually I done with schematic in KICAD but facing problem in dimensions of the hole position and diameter of the module as you told exactly while drawing footprint. I went through snapeda also for footprint I got hx711 footprint there but that module and what I expected module is different, some pin difference between two module.I edit the footprint of snapeda hx711 module but its not working and in datasheet proper dimensions for module is not given so what should I do please guide me.Also m facing problem while exporting  the kicad directories to easyeda. refer link in posted query.

The schematic and PCB design for this module is relatively simple. If you know the dimensions that you need, it might be easier to enter the schematic into EasyEDA and then design your own PCB. Then you know you have a PCB that is exactly what you want.

@charushilakhandait I suggest you to check the link related to the module that I found.. https://easyeda.com/adamfk/hx711-module Not necessary to take the long road. Just make another check on the component packages (which I already checked) and convert it to PCB, after googling the module dimensions I found that it is a 24mm x 16mm board module.. The inside board layout dimensions are not available

@charushilakhandait, If you are using the HX711 with a bridge sensor (a.k.a. load cell/strain gauge) as shown in Fig. 1 of: [https://cdn.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Sensors/ForceFlex/hx711_english.pdf](https://cdn.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Sensors/ForceFlex/hx711_english.pdf) then the unbalanced single ended input low pass filtering made up of R8 and C4 in: [https://easyeda.com/adamfk/hx711-module](https://easyeda.com/adamfk/hx711-module) is not correct. The INA+/- and INB+/- inputs are differential and therefore they should have a balanced differential low pass filter on their inputs as shown in Fig. 4 in the HX711 datasheet. In particular, the INA+/- inputs are designed to handle voltage differences in the mV range and so are very sensitive to external pickup such as from AM/FM/mobile radio frequencies. If you look carefully at the image of the module that you have in your original post, you can see that it has the differential filtering applied to both the INA+/- and INB+/- inputs as shown in Fig. 4 in the HX711 datasheet  (you can see the two pairs of series 100R resistors each followed by the parallel capacitors, although of course you cannot see the capacitor values): [https://image.easyeda.com/pullimage/mJaYQLPtjg3enJwzlf3D6yhQHqLzbfuHxdRP990T.jpeg](https://image.easyeda.com/pullimage/mJaYQLPtjg3enJwzlf3D6yhQHqLzbfuHxdRP990T.jpeg) Note also that, according to the equation for AVDD given in the HX711 datasheet for using the internal analog supply regulator in the section on Power Supply Options, in both the board that you have posted the picture of and the one in: [https://easyeda.com/adamfk/hx711-module](https://easyeda.com/adamfk/hx711-module) the values for the AVDD potential divider (R1 and R2 in your image and R12 and R13 in the above module) give an AVDD of well below the datasheet recommended minimum value of 2.6V (noted in Fig. 4 and in the table of KEY ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS).

@andyfierman Great explanation, all clear about the modules. It seems like the posted datasheet of sparkfun is related to the HX711 chip and not the whole module since it is not clear through the posted datasheet if the board is using the serial clock for data transmission or not !! and also about the "low pass filter" actually I think that the it is just a decoupling capacitor for the power signal. This is motivational to make me investigate more about this module. Hopefully I get some additional data about it from the internet.

@JLCPCBsupport, '...about the "low pass filter" actually I think that the it is just a decoupling capacitor for the power signal.' You have to be careful when describing things like this so as not mislead or confuse the reader. :) The low pass filter I am referring to in the datasheet is in the input signal path to the ADC and is differential. Neither side of it connects to ground so it is only filtering differential and not common mode signals (which the differential inputs should reject anyway), so it is not a power supply filter: it has nothing to do with smoothing or power supply decoupling. It is also nothing to do with filtering out mains frequency pick up from the inputs because the cutoff frequency of the two 100R resistors and the 100nF capacitor is 1/\(2\*pi\*2\*100R\*100nF\) is about 8kHz\, so way too high for mains frequencies\.
