I am attempting my first PCB and not sure if what I produced is missing anything obvious.
The concept is a female header connected to a PCB that will route those connections to plated holes where I can use an alligator clips.
Here is an example of what I am hoping the circular plated connectors would resemble: [https://www.adafruit.com/product/3333](https://www.adafruit.com/product/3333)
And here is what I have created: [https://easyeda.com/amazingjoe/copperbreakout](https://easyeda.com/amazingjoe/copperbreakout)
Questions:
* Do I have everything in place (solder pads?) that I would need to solder the female header?
* Is this right putting the traces on the top layer and soldering on the bottom layer (to attach the female header)? What is generally best practice for placement of traces?
* In the example the holes have copper plating around them and also to the edge. Is that a copper pour or is it called something else? I can probably figure it our with some Googling if I know what it is called.
* If there are any super obvious flaws (other than the trace lines / through holes being a bit uneven) please share.
* Should this be a single layer PCB or does it need to be 2 layer to have the soldering pads on the bottom layer. (Do I have anything on the bottom layer (pads)? It looks like I do when I view the Gerber visualization)
Thank you for the time you spent reading this post and any feedback provided.
