I create a schematic then translate and make a PCB layout. When the layout is done, I like to have the components named from Top down, Left to right.  In other words, the first resistor nearest the upper left corner of the board would be "R1", move down and the next resistor would be "R2", etc.  When you reach the bottom, move to the right and start at the top again and continue numbering.  The highest designator would then be near the bottom right corner. How do I "rename" the components and then transfer those names back to the schematic so that they match ??? Jim Waite
