Rotating an SMD component in PCB

I am a new user so apologies if this is wasting your time.  In PCB design I have an SMD resistor or cap on a PCB with tracks attached at each end.  When I rotate the component the tracks remain fixed, i.e. they are no longer connected to the component.    If I rotate 360 degrees they seem to become connected again.  1)  is it normal for the traces to remain fixed when the component is rotated?  2)  is there a way to keep the tracks connected when rotating?  3)  After 360 degrees are the tracks truley connected again? Thanks

1. Yes; 2. No; 3. Yes. You can check this by clicking on a pad or the track connecting to it and then pressing the H key which highlights the whole net and everything connected to it. You can also check the same thing by selecting the net in the Design Manager tool in the left hand panel. Not sure why the tracks drag when you move a component but not when you rotate it. I have raised a Bug Report about this.

@andyfierman Thanks, glad to hear that I was not imagining something that could be done better.  Another question if you don't mind:  if I have a schematic and/or PCB laid out, is there an easy way to redefine a component without completely deleting the component and adding the replacement?  It seems like sometimes I can makes change by editing the part attributes, custom attributes, or package attributes but the changes don't always propagate through. What are the rules/constraints about changing these attributes and then having them propagate through to the schematic, PCB, BOM, etc?

@skipt   Never mind, I found and figured out how to use the "Update PCB" button.  Now, if I only knew how to delete a forum post.
